fly-jpn compares eSIMs, SIM cards and pocket WiFi for people visiting or moving to Japan. It’s written by Stephen, who lives in Osaka.
Why this site exists
Most “best eSIM for Japan” pages are written by people who visited once, or by no one in Japan at all. Living here means seeing the things a short trip doesn’t show: which networks hold up underground, what happens in the mountains, and which questions visitors actually get stuck on.
How it works
- Prices come from provider sites and show the date they were last checked. If something hasn’t been checked, it says so.
- Testing is hands-on. A plan is only described as tested when Stephen has bought it and used it in Japan. How we test
- Some links earn a commission. It never decides a ranking. How we make money
Privacy
Stephen keeps his own details private. You won’t find a surname or photos of him here, and the profile picture is a mosaic illustration.
